“Οι “Άδης” είναι ενα συγκρότημα από την Καβάλα το οποίο έχει κυκλοφορήσει ανεξάρτητα ένα ελληνόφωνο post punk-dark wave δίσκο το 2001 με τίτλο “Αυτά Που Δεν Θα Δείς“. Επιπλέον εκείνο τον καιρό ετοιμάζονταν για αγγλόφωνη δουλειά. Φυσικά τα ίχνη τους έχουν χαθεί εδώ και χρόνια και δεν υπάρχουν πληροφορίες για αυτούς και την δράση τους.. Έχουν συμμετάσχει στην συλλογή Φάκελος Rock 1 & 40 χρόνια rock & Γυαλιά Ηλίου στο Σκοτάδι (diy) με το τραγούδι “η εικόνα του σπηλαίου”. “

 Adis is the next greek best thing next to the Sisters Of Mercy. They want to sound like them, dress like them, be like them. Song titles including the bat, when night falls, the cavern’s image and of course their name’s choice ADIS (hell-the underworld-where the dead went for ancient greeks) suggest the same. It is also very romantic guitar-vocal oriented music, they closely stick to the gothic rock nosferatu/early mission/sisters of mercy/ sound so the music hasn’t aged as much as one would think-it comes from the early 2000’s. This should have been played more in greek clubs everywhere, but no, fuck you, djs, you play what the people want to listen, right?  Play for pay, a familiar story…

Anyone aboard for greek goth, hop on, citizens.

Mother Disobedience – Frankie Rides the Pale Horse (ep 2011)

Οι Mother Disobedience είναι μια πειραματική μπάντα/κολεκτίβα με έδρα την Αθήνα και ηγέτη τον εκλιπόντα Frank Plastic. Σχηματίστηκαν στο διάστημα 1984 με 1986, αρχικά ως Sparmachetta, από τον Plastic και την γυναίκα του Donna Clorox ως tribute μπάντα στον Johnny Cash, αλλά μετά απο τον τραγικό θάνατο της Donna απο κεραυνό το 1987, ο Frank Plastic μετονόμασε το συγκρότημα σε Mother Disobedience και ξεκίνησε το ταξίδι στην άβυσο της αυτοσχεδιαστικής / πειραματικής μουσικής ως ένα μέσω θεραπείας για την παράνοια που προκάλεσε η απώλεια. Καμία δουλειά του Frank Plastic δεν έχει κυκλοφορήσει πριν απο το θάνατο του την ημέρα των Χριστουγέννων του 2010, εκτός από το άλμπουμ 3rd Studio Amendemnt και το EP Lahar II. Τώρα οι φίλοι και μέλη των Mother Disobedience, συνεχίζουν να ηχογραφούν νέο υλικό και να κυκλοφορούν παλαιότερες ηχογραφήσεις μέσω της DIY label τους B24

Va- Never Trash A Pretty Face (1986 punk post punk)

Excellent lo-fi DIY compilation from Greece,released in Thessaloniki, in 1986, through the Rollin Under fanzine and the radio station Radio Utopia. Musically it varies from late 70s-early 80s punk/anarcho punk with greek lyrics,garage punk, to post punk sounds and some minimal synth.

H δεύτερη συλλογή από άτομα της deathrock greece community κυκλοφορεί εδώ και λίγο καιρό ανάμεσα μας..

Τιτλοφορείται “All the Pretty Little Mutants: The Greek Dark Underground Vol.2” και για ακόμη μια φορά παράγεται από μερικούς από εμάς για όλους εμάς, χωρίς διάμεσους, χωρίς υπερτιμολογήσεις και κανέναν να βάζει νερό στα όνειρα και το κρασί του.

Ένα διπλό cd, με κάθε δισκάκι να περιέχει πάνω απο 50′ της άρρωστης σκοτεινής μουσικής που αγαπάμε και ίσως περικλείεται στον όρο “αγκαλιά” που λέγεται deathrock.

Μια μίξη από το σχετικά άγνωστο παρελθόν, όσο και το υγιές παρόν της ευρύτερης dark-punk-psychobilly-garage-DIY-avantgarde σκηνής, η συλλογή περιλαμβάνει μπάντες όπως

The second compilation produced by individuals inside deathrock greece community is a reality for some weeks now.

The title being:“All the Pretty Little Mutants: The Greek Dark Underground Vol.2”, it is once more created by a few of us for ALL of us, no intermediaries, no overpricing and with no one altering our visions or dreams..

One double cd, each disc containing more than 50 mins of the sick dark music we love and is entailed maybe by the umbrella term that is deathrock.

Mixing the relatively unknown past with the healthy present of the general greek ark-punk-psychobilly-garage-DIY-avantgarde scene, this compilation includes bands as:

Ίσως να είναι περιττό να αναφέρουμε πως και πάλι οι μπάντες συμμετείχαν ενεργά σε όλα τα στάδια δημιουργίας μέχρι το τελικό προιόν, μαζί με την ομάδα παραγωγής, μιας και δεν νοούμαστε τη σκηνή ξεχωριστή από τα συγκροτήματα, με τις μπάντες στο ρόλο των διασκεδαστών του λαού.

Μπορείτε να βρείτε τη συλλογή μετά από επικοινωνία με τη deathrock greece community ή/και τις μπάντες σε εξαιρετικά φιλικές τιμές κοντά στο κόστος παραγωγής, ενώ διατίθεται κ για ελεύθερο κατέβασμα-D/L στα σχετικά μέσα. Και βέβαια δεν θεωρούμαστε κατόχοι και διανομείς ενός προιόντος πολυτελείας με μόνο λόγο ύπαρξης την πώληση, αλλά πιο απλά έτυχε να έχουμε την ιδέα και να το κάνουμε εμείς πρώτοι χωρίς να περιμένουμε “υπεύθυνους” να το κάνουν για μας, και ίσως τελικά κάποιοι άλλοι για τους δικούς τους λόγους να την στηρίξουν.

It may be too much but once again, the bands have participated actively in all the stages of creation till end product, working with the production team, since we cannot conceive of a scene apart from the acts, the bands in a role of the people’s entertainers.

You can find this compilation after communicating with deathrock greece and/or the bands, in extremely friendly frices near the production costs, and in a while it will be available for downloading in the realative media.

Naturally, we don’t consider ourselves the holders and retainers of this luxury product whose sole reason of existing is being sold, but instead it just happened that we were the first to get the idea and realise this first-not waiting for persons more “responsible” or qualified than us, and maybe other people will support this for each his/er own reasons.
