Τα στούκας παιζουν από το 2005 και μετά. Αυθόρμητο 80-89′ punk-μια μουσικη ταμπελα για να καταλαβαινομαστε, οχι για να τους τσουβαλιασω- ευτυχως ανεπηρεαστο απο τα dbeat και grind παραστρατηματα που δερνουν τη σκηνη τα τελευταια 8-9 χρονια. Ελληνικος προσβασιμος στιχος, μαχιμες διασκεδαστικες συναυλιες *επαιξαν και στο φεστιβαλ της ντεθροκ bats over athens* και χωρις το τουπε και τη μυτη ψηλα που ερχεται με τη μακροχρονια παρουσια σ’ένα μουσικο χωρο. Τα cd -ντεμο τους (τα λεμε ντεμο γιατι ηχογραφηθηκαν στο υπογειο του ντραμερ , δεν έχουν τα μαστεριγκ κλπ φρου φρου, αλλά το σωστο να λεγεται, με τα diy μέσα του 2010 κ μετά οι ποιοτητα στο diy είναι κατα πολυ ανώτερη απο τα ανεπισημα rls των 80ς, ακουγονται κανονικοτατα εννοώ)    διανεμονται απο δω κι απο κει χωρις ή με ελαχιστο αντιτιμο. Κατεβαστε τα , ακουστε τα κ αγοραστε τα για να στηριξουμε τα παιδια να βγαλουν κι αλλα. Το κοντινοτερο ελληνικο ακουσμα στα αγαπημενα στρες, εκτος ελεγχου, πισσα κλπ του παρελθοντος.

BEWARE THE SURFIN’ DOGGIE

Okay, so this not an official release of any kind. This blog has not as yet  supported metal of any kind and nor IT will . BUT! These are surf covers of popular black metal songs going around the internet under various vague rumours that bands such as burzum and darkthrone went around and remixed their own songs as surf. Well, that’s utter bullshit, this was an internet fad started from youtube channels of Mr Meddled and riboflavinmusic. These channels have been discontinued but the idea lives on through trve kvlt 1960s surf music and various other users (congrats guys).Here I’ve added various metal surf tracks i encountered as well, like glitter dicks cover of slayer.
Black metal riffs lend themselves surprisingly well to surf guitar, given both genres insistance on tremolo picking. In some cases it sounds like you could pretty much just slow down a black metal riff and take out the distortion for instant and eerie surf rock. It is strange and also haunting dirty surf, worth a listen, even without the metal knowledge to appreciate the covers.
I ve added the flavour texts the original user wrote as an addendum to the upload. They are very funny to afficionados of metal music and people who know who there bands are (apparently)..

So with “dark” surf being the third and last part of our summer uploads, we bid you a long good, uneventful summer! Stay tuned for infos on parties and whatnot.

Dirty Fuse – S/t (2012) SURF!! Gr

Second  part in the summer uploads, this has nothing to do with deathrock, punk or the gothix! But it has everything to do with supporting the local scene. A great band from athens, who are also good technical musicians and have great love for the genre they chose. They actually include saxophone in their lineup, so they gain over 9000 points for that too. Their compositions are original, groovy, go real well with colorfull drinks or half frozen pilsner pints in urban terraces… and their live sets are outstanding. They play real well live with their hawain plaid shirts, they can reach high speeds with no problem (listen to kite to the stars if you don’t trust me) and wait till they get out the tzoura….(bouzouki-like organ). So may the gods of reverb be with these guys….

ΑΣΗΜΙ (200? GR dark wave/folk)

I haven’t seen this being upped anywhere, so we asked the singer/songwriter Nikos Sempekopoulos and he gave us permission to post this, his solo project. He was a member of the DROPS back in the 1990s, and for asimi he wrote all lyrics, plays guitar and sings by himself. Perfect falsettos, when unexpected and excellent lyric writing, while the guitar work never lets you get bored. To my ears, this is an equivalent to Nora Keyes and her dark haunted work as a solo artist, and it has much value musically. Very death-oriented, perfect for those small, misanthrope hours late at night or very early in the morning, on the first bus on the way to work.
