This is an eery MISFITS clone band from the SAME TOWN (Lodi, NJ) as the Misfits, and not only that, but from the SAME STREET and the SAME ERA.
A big complaint of Misfits fans is obviously that once Danzig left, the music fell way off….and since only recently are the guys all becoming friends again, it’s not likely that we’ll hear the OG Misfits put out something new for quite a bit of time. Sooo, in the meantime, you can listen to this band’s anthology release, which is basically a lost Misfits album from the 80’s. It has the same style, production, everything. If anything, it’s a little tighter musically than the original Misfits. Shit, apparently Danzig even drew their record cover! Plus they’re covering runaway in a ramones reminding way,how cool is that…

The Hands of Cain were Dimitris Chorianopoulos (vocals, bass), Spyros ‘S. Adam’ Floros (drums), Costas Papakitsos (synthesisers) and Dimitris Stamatiou (guitar) from Athens, Greece.
Aaah. The “Nice Isaak”.One of the few Yugoslav post-punk bands. They were from Nis and
Unfortunately stopped playing a long time ago. Formed in 1983 -split 1986, and obviously greatly
influenced by Joy Division, this album was released in only 100 copies.

In late 1983, Predrag Cvetičanin (guitar, vocals) with Zoran Đoređvić (guitar), Branko (bass guitar), and Boban (drums) formed the band Dobri Isak. Having performed at minor local clubs, the band recorded a home made demo recording, however, the lineup dissolved during the summer of the following year. After several months Cvetičanin, with bassist Miloš Miladinović, and drummer Saša Marković “Markiz”, reformed the band.
In the period of 1984 and 1985, the band member also became Nenad Cvetičanin, Predrag’s brother, who joined the band while his own, Arnold Layne, was on hiatus. Together, the band recorded their first and only studio album Mi plačemo iza tamnih naočara (We Cry Behind Dark Glasses), released in 1986 by the Niš Student Cultural Center (SKC), being the first release of the Studentkult production, which released an array of musical and literary releases. The album, released on compact cassette only and printed in a limited number of 100 copies, had been distributed by the Ljubljana ŠKUC, and rapidly sold out.
The band presented their new material to the Niš audience, also performing at the 1985 Serbian Youth Festival in Knjaževac, winning the best performance award, and gaining the opportunity to appear at the Dani Novih Omladinskih Novina in Split on Summer of the same year.

But today’s item, well it’s one of the best new things going on… Remember mekrokiev (distante) from the last version of the community’s choices? They were good enough to send us this copy of their last release, and it is the best cover collection in the gothic rock field that we’ve listened since a long time…And they are really proving what we’ve pretty much known for these last few years…mexico is really the place to be if you’re into deathrock these days. These guys got both the look, the skills and the (haunted?evil?)-anyway quite unique and memorable front vocals. And track by track they are adding to their already full(2 LP’s,1 EP and now this!) discography, very much to our delight… Here,they made the drowning a bit more powerful, added much “evilness” to temple of love (must listen) and I was glad to see a bit of meddling in politics with V…
Also a must for dj’s, wanting to spin different cover versions of overplayed-but-still-good songs (another way of saying shatter is excellente).

Δεν έχουμε ανεβάσει πολλές φορές από εδώ το κάποιο από τα άλμπουμ των πορνοστρόικα.. Σ’ αυτή εδώ την κυκλοφορία δεν μπορεσαμε να κάνουμε τα στραβά μάτια, ίσως για να επιβραβευτεί ο κόπος των παιδιών όλο αυτό τον καιρό και πίσω απο τη συγκεκριμένη συλλογή. Μέλη της (εμείς θεωρούμε) αδελφής κολλεκτίβας (όσον αφορά τους στόχους) μουσικών και καλλιτεχνών του ΖΑΜ, οι ίδιοι διαδίδουν πως μεταξύ άλλων ίσως τους καλύπτει μουσικά η ταμπέλα του proto-industrial. Προσωπικά δεν τους έβαλα παρά την ταμπέλα της πρωτοπορίας (avant garde) μιας και είναι κάτι ξεχωριστό, όχι για πολλά αυτιά. Αλλά καμμιά μουσική που ποστάρεται απο’δω μέσα δεν είναι για όλα τα αυτιά και σε 1-2 άτομα να έχει να πει κάτι αυτό, και κατόπιν αν εκείνοι οι 1-2 το διαδώσουν και έτσι συνεχίσουν την αλυσίδα, εμείς θα‘μαστε καλυμμένοι.

But i’m not making any promises for next time, maybe next time it will be all from youtubedownloader🙂 This time we’ve got a great balance going between the good old 80’s post-punk past and very very new music 2011and 12, very few of the classics and lots of new unknown bands for you hipster obscurities lovers to discover. and, keep in mind, all this is intended as suggestions, if you like the music, go buy the records, support the bands and the scene.
